| Hi ALL - we (DBS) at present have 50 folks signed up for our dinner. I have attached the menu so's you can warm up your taste buds for dinner at 7:00 PM in the Bourdon Room - see attached menu - it should be wonderful. There is a 1 hour cash bar before dinner starting at 6:00 PM June 19th at Galatoires open bar. Both red & white house wines will be served and included at no cost during the meal. If you are vegetarian pls let me know and we can make suitable arrangements. There is apparently a shuttle being provided ($15.00 meet fee - sounds like a deal) from the Marriott (host hotel) to and, I believe, from our dinner - though when dinner's done a walk through th French Quarter should be at the very least, entertaining. Any of you attending our Dinner, who are NEW members OR who have not previously been to a National meet PLEASE let me know so I can welcome and introduce you at our dinner. Don't forget the board mtg Thurs at 8:00 - 9:00 AM Don't forget the tech session about trouble shooting your dear Derby Thurs PM. Lastly RROC has kindly agreed to make available a Society Booth in the vendor area - this will cover all societies, allowing folks to ask questions and distribute propaganda. It would be nice if we could staff it to answer questions - those of you who might be available please send me your available times and I'll set up a schedule. One or two hours each is all that should be required. Oh, and when in the Vendor's area don't hesitate to drop by and say hello to whoever is there. Have a great time exploring New Orleans culture & history. |
